Walking in Cornwall
There are a range of walks to be enjoyed within the surrounding Rame Peninsula. The South West Coast Path runs right past the hotel and offers miles of stunning scenery and coastal walking.
Whitsand Bay to Cawsand
This walk covers a total of 5 miles and offers a moderate/difficult grade of walking. Pass Polhawn Fort (one of a ring of forts built to defend Plymouth), Queen Adelaide’s Grotto and walk through the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe and past Penlee Point.
Portwrinkle to Plymouth
This walk is a little further than above and covers 13 miles, however mainly fairly easy with some short steep ascents and descents in places. Follow the rugged cliffs of Freathy, which is dotted with holiday cabins, to the impressive promontory of Rame Head.
