Areas of Interest

Portwrinkle
The small seaside village of Portwrinkle enjoys panoramic views over Whitsand Bay, part of the UK's Heritage Coast. You can see Rame Head to the East, Looe to the West and the Eddystone Lighthouse on the horizon to the South. On a clear day you can even see as far as the Lizard.

Portwrinkle has a small harbour with fishing boats and two beaches - Chalet and Harbour Beach. There are many rock pools to explore, shallows to paddle in and surf to ride. Both are included in the "Good Beach Guide".

Rame Peninsula
The Rame Peninsula, also known as Cornwall’s ‘forgotten corner’ is an area of great natural beauty with secluded beaches, beautiful scenery and an array of coastal walks. Discover quaint Cornish coastal villages such as Millbrook, Kingsand, Cawsand, St Johns and Crafthole.

Located just across the border of Devon, and surrounded on three sides by water, (the Rivers Lynher or also known as St Germans River, the Tamar and Plymouth Sound) here you’ll find a haven of peace and tranquillity and a beautiful stretch of the South West Coast path ready to explore.

Kingsand and Cawsand
The historical fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand make for the ideal base to start your explorations. It’s easy to see why many artists favour the area when you see these beautifully kept villages, which have previously won the accolade of ‘Best Kept Village’. Untouched and preserved in time, here you will find narrow streets with typical quaint old cottages, friendly pubs and shops to browse.

During the summer months you can take the 'Western Maid' boat from the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican in Plymouth aross the Sound to Cawsand Beach.

Looe
Looe is a charming fishing town hidden away in the picturesque river valley. It has a strong nautical past and is still an active fishing port today, even though the fishing fleet is smaller these days. The cobbled streets are lined with quaint cafes, restaurants, galleries and gift shops.

Looe has two beaches, Hannafore Beach which is perfect for rockpooling, and Looe Beach which is a safe and sandy beach ideal for families.
